Are there any prohibited fundraises?

We prohibit businesses that are illegal, heavily regulated, or potentially dangerous for investors from fundraising or collecting investor interest. If you operate in any of the following industries, your business profile will likely not be allowed on Localstake:

  • Biopharmaceuticals
  • Gambling
  • Illicit drugs
  • Insurance
  • Not-for-profits
  • Politics
  • Pornography
  • Weapons

In addition, the purpose of your fundraise matter to us as well. If the purpose of your fundraise is to do any of the following, you likely will not be allowed to collect investor interest on Localstake:

  • To cure, treat, or prevent an illness or condition.
  • To finance the purchase of another business.
  • To save your business or bring your business out of bankruptcy.

Note: This is not an exhaustive list of requirements to fundraise, if you still aren't sure whether Localstake will be a fit for your business, please contact customer support.
